My name is Shannon Dawson, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I am currently working towards full licensure with NeuMind Wellness Group. I have five years of experience working in addiction and substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I graduated in 2024 from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska, with a master's degree in clinical counseling.

I completed my internship/practicum at Tri-County Human Services in Lakeland and Winter Haven, FL. There I worked with adults struggling with substance use disorders, as well as children and teens on a variety of issues including anger, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. 

I am committed to providing all clients with a safe space to discuss their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I am a genuine and empathic counselor who will meet you where you are and guide you on to becoming the best version of you.
