Edgar is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy from Walden University. He is currently working towards full licensure with NeuMind Wellness Group. His clinical approach is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a strong belief in each person’s capacity to shape their life.

Edgar began his work in the field as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting children with autism and their families. He then expanded into working in the child welfare system, where he supported youth navigating complex family dynamics, trauma, and systemic challenges.

In addition to his background with children and families, Edgar was able to gain experience working with adults facing acute and chronic mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and psychosis. This work has strengthened his ability to provide grounded, trauma-informed support during times of crisis while fostering safety, autonomy, and trust.

As a clinician, Edgar believes in empowering his clients to make changes by integrating evidence-based modalities and tailoring treatments to each person’s unique needs, helping them become the best version of themselves.
