Christina De Zavala

Christina is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who is working towards full licensure at NeuMind Wellness Group. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology from Virginia Tech.

Christina has a solid foundation in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing a large range of mental health issues including: depression, anxiety, low self esteem, bullying, ADHD, anger, behavioral issues, and more. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental and behavioral health crisis at an acute care crisis stabilization hospital providing individual and family therapy. 

 In working with her clients, Christina believes in a client centered approach that empowers and assists them in their recovery. She aims to help each and every client meet their life goals by walking hand in hand with them through their recovery and therapeutic journey. Her therapeutic style includes the use of active listening, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused therapy, and a Strengths-based approach.
